Intro Post - Himemiya Anthy

Though she is asleep, Anthy knows right away, the moment the world shifts around her. The water currents ripple through her hair, push her skirt against her legs. It’s peaceful here, Anthy thinks. She feels no hurry to move forward.
Sound doesn’t carry here, no more than it would in space, but Anthy still feels the girl’s approach, behind and to the left. Anthy doesn’t turn until a hand touches her shoulder, and even then it’s only to catch the other girl’s wrist. Wine-dark eyes meet her own.
“I know you,” Anthy says, and she does, in the sense that an archetype can recognize one of her own. “Do you have a name?”
The girl tilts her head for a moment, like she has to think about it.
“Ayanami Rei.” And Anthy feels more than sees a montage of bandages and sinking into viscous water; of arms wrapped around her and hands closed about her throat.
One of hers, indeed.
Rei holds out her hand, and Anthy takes it.
